This safari tour departs daily from Johannesburg and is designed specifically to encounter Africa’s wildlife in the famous Kruger National Park. We also include a visit the scenic Panoramic Route. During your time in the Panoramic route you stay in a luxury 4 star type lodge. We accommodate you in the Kruger Park’s round, rondavel type rooms, still with en-suite bathroom facilities, to enhance the safari experience in the wild. The rooms are very comfortable with air-conditioning installed. While we do most of the game viewing in the comfort of our vehicles, you also have the option to book an open vehicle safari. The duration of such safari is around 2,5 – 3 hours. Return to Johannesburg – or the O R Tambo International Airport if required – late afternoon of the fourth day.
Day 1. Johannesburg – Kruger National Park
Depart from the Johannesburg early morning on your safari tour and drive eastwards to the Kruger Park via Nelspruit and enter the park in the south. Your encounter with Africa’s wild life starts here as we begin our thrilling safari. Tonight you arrive at a camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight in comfortable free-standing ‘rondavel’ type rooms with air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom.
Day 2. Luxurious Kruger National Park Safari
Today we devote our time to game viewing in search for the ‘Big Five’ among other animals. Reach the next camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. Some may also want to do a night drive in an open safari vehicle utilising high powered spotlights in search of the nocturnal animals (optional).
Day 3. Panoramic Route
After a final game drive and breakfast, leave the park and drive via Klaserie and the Abel Erasmus Pass to the Escarpment. You visit the Blyde River Canyon view point, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the Pinnacle Rock. Our exciting day comes to a close at Sabie where we overnight. Overnight Ligna Lodge.
Day 4. Pilgrim’s Rest – JNB
Our first stop is at the Lone Creek falls. We then visit the town of Pilgrim’s Rest, the museum. Take a walk through the main street and go back in time to the late nineteenth century when this little village was bustling with activity as a result of the alluvial gold found here. From here return to Johannesburg, arriving late afternoon.
