Experience

Day 1.  Johannesburg – Kruger National Park

We embark on the Kruger Park Safari by driving eastwards via Witbank and Middelburg to Nelspruit and enter the Kruger National Park in the south.  Our encounter with the wild life starts here as we begin our  thrilling Kruger National Park safari. Tonight we enter our camp for dinner and overnight. We overnight in our comfortable free-standing ‘rondavel’ type room with air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom.

Day 2.  Luxurious Kruger National Park Safari

Today we devote to game viewing and we search for the ‘Big Five’ amongst other animals. We reach our camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. Some may want to do a night drive in an open game viewing vehicle utilising high powered spotlights to find the nocturnal animals (optional).

Day 3.  Panoramic Route

After a final game drive and breakfast, we leave the park and drive via Klaserie and the Abel Erasmus Pass to the Escarpment and visit Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the Pinnacle Rock. Travel to Sabie where we overnight. Overnight Ligna Lodge.

Day 4.  Pilgrim’s Rest – JNB

Our first stop is at the Lone Creek falls. We then visit the town of Pilgrim’s Rest, the museum. Take a walk through the main street and get carried away to the late nineteenth century when this little village was bustling with activity as a result of the alluvial gold found here before returning to Johannesburg, arriving late afternoon.

Accommodation in luxury rooms except in the Kruger National Park where we use the accommodation in the park to enhance the experience, breakfasts and dinners, entrances, conservation fees.

DAY 1.   Johannesburg – Kruger Park Our first day on tour to the Kruger Park takes us from Johannesburg via Middelburg and Nelspruit to the famous Kruger National Park. Enter in the south where our encounter with Africa’s amazing wildlife commences. We search for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) amongst many other species of animals such as giraffe, zebra and antelope such as kudu, nyala, impala, etc, etc. Arrive at the camp late afternoon for dinner and overnight. Overnight in a Bungalow. DAY 2.  Kruger Safari Tour We devote today to game viewing in search of the Kruger National Park’s ‘Big Five’ amongst other animals. We arrive back at our camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. An optional night drive in an open safari vehicle utilising high powered spotlights to find the nocturnal animals is available.  Overnight in a bungalow. DAY 3.   Panoramic Route – Gauteng After a final game drive and breakfast, we drive via Kowyn’s Pass to the Escarpment and visit The Pinnacle, God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Blyde River Canyon.  Then, unfortunately, we are at the end of our tour and have to return and arrive in Johannesburg late afternoon.

5 Day Kruger Park and Vistas Explorer Tour (Code: SCJS)

DAY 1.   Kruger National Park (South African Safari) On the first day of this South African safari we drive eastwards via Witbank and Middelburg to Nelspruit and enter the Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of nearly 20 000 square kilometres (7,500 sq mi) and extends 360 kilometres (220 mi) from north to south and 65 kilometres (40 mi) from east to west. Our encounter with the wild life starts here. Tonight we enter our camp for dinner and overnight in our free-standing ‘rondavel’ type rooms with air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom. Overnight Skukuza or similar Camp – bungalow. DAY 2. Kruger National Park Safari South Africa We spend today game viewing in search for the ‘Big Five’, amongst other animals. We reach our camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. Some may want to do a night drive in an open game viewing vehicle utilising high powered spotlights to find the nocturnal animals (optional). Overnight Skukuza or similar Camp – bungalow. DAY 3.  Panoramic Route After a final Kruger Park game drive and breakfast, we drive via Kowyn’s Pass to the Escarpment and visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and the Lisbon Falls. Then we travel through the Abel Erasmus tunnel and descend down to the Lowveld en-route to Tzaneen. Explore the town and travel into the Magoebaskloof pass where our hotel is situated. The rest of the afternoon you can embark on short explorations around the hotel and marvel at the scenic views. Overnight at Sherwood Country House. DAY 4.  Magoebaskloof – Waterberg Explore the area some more until we depart mid-morning and travel via Polokwane (Pietersburg) to the Waterberg area and to our private nature reserve.
