Half Day Pretoria City Tour (Code: SCJP)

Pretoria City Tour – half day Depart from Johannesburg for a Pretoria city tour, the country’s administrative capital, and one of the most beautiful cities in South Africa. We visit some historical sites and places of interest. Some of the highlights are the Voortrekker Monument, Kruger House, Church Square, Melrose House and the Union Buildings. We have also included the Freedom Park museum in this tour. Freedom Park celebrates South Africa’s inclusive heritage. It is a centre of deep understanding of the entire nation. Freedom Park overlooks the Voortrekker Museum, built to celebrate the white population only. However, Freedom Park accommodates all of the country’s experiences and symbols to tell one coherent story. Pretoria is also called the ‘Jacaranda City’ because of the thousands of Jacaranda trees planted along the streets and parks. The city turns purple during October when these trees go into full bloom. The Jacaranda tree is an alien species and considered harmful to the local environment, but Pretoria has special permission to keep the trees in the streets. The tour departs daily from hotels around the city and the Johannesburg area. Combined this tour with a Johannesburg city tour for a full day outing!
