Experience

During this Natal Battlefields tour, you will mainly visit the two important Anglo Zulu battlefields of  Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift.

We travel westwards past Pietermaritzburg to the famous and awe-inspiring battlefield of Isandlwana. The British and Zulu clashed here. The battle ended up as arguably one of the biggest defeats of the British. Afterwards, at Rorke’s Drift, we relive the defence of that small outpost by a handful of red-coated soldiers against several thousand Zulu warriors. If time allows we travel via Babanango to Ulundi where our last stop is at Chetswayo’s Kraal, Ondini, where the British army revenged the battle of Isandlwana.

We return to Durban via Melmoth and Eshowe and arrive in the evening.
