3 Day Kruger National Park Explorer Tour (Code: SCJK) – Johannesburg to Johannesburg

A wildlife safari tour to the famous Kruger National Park in 8-seater microbuses in search for Africa’s Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) and a host of other animals such as the over 140 species of mammals found here! This tour is designed for those with little time, but who still want to experience the Kruger Park, the biggest reserve in Africa at around 20 000 sq km – slightly smaller than Belgium! We accommodate you in the Kruger Park’s round, rondavel type rooms, still with en-suite  bathroom facilities, to enhance the safari experience in the wild. The rooms are very comfortable with air-conditioning installed. While we do most of the game viewing in the comfort of our vehicles, you also have the option to book an open vehicle safari. This wildlife safari tour is fully guided and visits the Kruger Park and subsequently a private reserve where they utilise open safari vehicles in search of the wildlife. Brief History of Johannesburg

Johannesburg is the biggest city in Gauteng. It was established in the year 1886 when a village managed by the Health Committee found an outcrop of gold on a farm called Langlaagte. Once the discovery was made, people from across South Africa traveled to Johannesburg for their chance to claim their fortune.  Within the span of eleven years, the population grew so much that Johannesburg was declared a municipality.

Gauteng, which translates to “Place of Gold” in the Sotho language, is known to be the smallest province in South Africa, but also the richest in the country. Johannesburg has the best Central Business District in Africa. Many of the largest national and international companies have their head office located in Johannesburg.

  3. Bring along a camera to capture precious moments while on your safari tour. Your camera may come in handy when you spot one of the Big Five or any other animal during the safari.

When is the best time to go on a safari?

Although tourists can travel on a safari tour throughout the year, it is advised that the best time to go on an African safari is between April and September. This is because South Africa is experiencing much cooler and dry weather conditions during these months.

It is easier to spot the animals around this time of the year as the bushes are thin. Because of little to no rain in these months, the animals can also be seen around waterholes during the day, resting and quenching their thirst.
